My journey as a long distance runner who started the sport later in life.
We were out of most of my breakfast smoothie ingredients today, so I improvised and it turned out really well. My almost 3-year-old declared it delicious. Here’s how I made it:
Improv Green Smoothie
1 banana, 2 stalks celery, 1/2 cup frozen spinach, 1/2 cup old fashioned vanilla ice cream, 1 cup original almond milk, 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
The vanilla ice cream is the flavor enhancer and the least healthful ingredient, but if I had them I would have used frozen raspberries or cherries instead. Frozen yogurt or natural plain yogurt would have probably worked too. I will continue to experiment and post any others that taste good in the future.
